Where to Eat & Drink in Sorrento, Italy

  • Istorante Parrucchiano Favorita – One of the most popular spots In Sorrento. Definitely make sure to make a reservation because they are full every night of the week. The picturesque greenhouse patio & is surrounded by lemon groves and is one of the most beautiful restaurants you will walk Into.
  • The Kiosk – A perfect little lunch spot off the main strip that offers something other than pizza & pasta! We ordered the burger & fried shrimp and both were delicious and a nice break from the typical Italian cuisine. They also have a large drink menu with everything from Aperol to coffee drinks inspired from all over the world.
  • Blu Water – Blu Water was the perfect date night spot to dress up and enjoy the ambiance of laughter, good food & limoncello spritz. The best of Mediterranean cuisine, this place offers food from land & sea that are full of flavor. We tried the Capri Style Ravioli & the Sea Bass spaghetti.
  • Bocconcino – One of our favorite spots in Sorrento. Giuliano & his father own this shop that is full of limoncello, wines, deli meats & cheeses. We brought home some of their delicious pepper olive oil & can’t wait to try it along with our newfound cooking skills.
  • D’Anton Design & Bistrot – “I want my house to be opened to the sun, to the wind and to the voice of the sea, as a Greek temple…and light, light, light everywhere!” Located in the elegant S’Antonio Square, D’Anton is an Interior design store meets cocktail bar. The best part is everything is for sale!
  • La Pergola Bar a Champagne – Located right in the center of Sorrento, La Pergola offers a picturesque balcony overlooking one of the most beautiful views In Sorrento. Inside you will find this interior designer’s dream, with chairs covered in velvet & fringe. This champagne bar is equally as decedent as it’s views.

What to do in Sorrento, Italy

  • Capri, Amalfi Coast, & Positano – Take a day to go explore other coastal cities near Sorrento. You can hike from Sorrento to Positano through the Path of Gods. Capri is just a quick ferry ride from Sorrento and is one of my favorite places in Italy. Shopping, eating, boating & gondola rides will fill your day.
  • Beach Clubs – There are many beach clubs to choose from on the coast of Sorrento. All equipped with retro umbrellas that transport you back in time. Spend your day eating, drinking & sunbathing with views that make you feel close to Heaven. Lorelei Beach Club is one of the favorites among travelers. Typically these open towards the middle of May.
  • Shopping in Town – Shopping was one of our favorite activities in Sorrento. You can spend days wandering the beautiful alleyways where you are surrounded by Limoncello, Handmade Jewelry, Perfumeries, Linen Shops, & so much more. Local artists are placed all around the city with incredible artwork. During our stay we found an alleyway dedicated to photos of the stunning Sophia Loren throughout her life.
  • Cooking Class – Book a cooking class & learn how to make some of Sorrento’s finest pasta dishes. There are many cooking classes in the city to choose from. Using fresh ingredients, you will learn how to make everything from scratch so you can come home to cook your friends & family the local dishes.
  • Lemon Garden Tour – Join a guided tour to explore the lemon gardens throughout the city. Sorrento is known for its production of citric groves that supply almost all of Italy. You will see them all throughout the shops in town, and they are truly a sight to be seen, massive in size & full of flavor. Tour the gardens to see how they are grown and the ancient production methods that are still used to this day.
  • Boat Day – By boat is one of the best ways to experience the area. Grab a Lemon Chilled Peroni, a towel, & spend your day cruising through the Gulf of Naples. There are many options when it comes to boating in Sorrento. Half-day, full-day, and sunset cruises are just a few ways you can spend your day. I highly recommend a sunset cruise on the Vera 1880 at La Cocumella.
